Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
“The year is 2027. It is a time of great innovation and technological advancement. It is also a time of chaos and conspiracy. Corporations have more power than the government. Everyone is fighting for power, for control.”
People, this is how you make a trailer. It took a lot of will power to pull myself away from my fifth watching* of this encapsulating trailer for the Eidos Montreal developed prequel. The setting is 25 years before the original, in a series of metropolises including Detroit. Biomechanical augmentations were a part of day-to-day life, albeit controversially, however nanotechnological updates were not yet commonplace. With a truly stunning art direction, political corruption, human augmentation, bionics, stealth suits and more, this is already high on our Most Wanted list for next year.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2011.
*I lied. I’m still watching it. Make that eight viewings now. Nope…nine.
