Microsoft E3: Kinect Release Date Announced

During Microsoft’s E3 conference, the company announced that Kinect will launch worldwide this Christmas, starting with November 4th in North America.

Kinect will also see 15 launch titles for the motion camera, including a Sonic title and an exclusive Star Wars game. Some of the known titles are; Kinectimals – A virtual pet simulator, Kinect Sports – Like Wii sports but without a controller and Kinect Joyride - A kart racer which you control by steering with your hands. Joyride feautres five gameplay modes including a stunt mode.

Other titles announced included:

Your Shape Fitness Evolved – A Ubisoft developed a fitness workout that you can tailor to suit your needs. Fitness Evolved will provide players with accurate feedback allowing you to get the most out of your work out. The game allows you to choose low impact and higher intensity exercises, meaning you can work up a sweat or have a nice gentle workout.

Dance Central – A Harmonix developed dance title with over 600 moves 90 routines.

Forza Kinect – Essentially a 60fps Forza game that is controlled by steering with your hands and allows you to move your head around to check out the car interior.
