During their E3 press conference, Nintendo announced Zelda: Skyward Sword.

The game will use Wii Motion Plus. The sword and shield turn into the Wii Remote with MotionPlus and Nunchuk, respectively. The Z-button is used for targeting, and players can attack swinging horizontally or vertically, with the only way to defeat certain enemies is to cut in the correct direction. Link can also throw and roll bombs, and it’s possible to apply spin to the bombs.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is set for release next year.
