iPhone 4 Sales Reach 1.7 Million

Apple has sold 1.7 million units of it’s new iPhone in just four days.

Since it’s release on June 24th, it has become the most successful launch in the companies history. Whilst the upgrade is certainly tempting, the length remaining in my contract means that I’ll have to make do with my 3GS for a while longer. The figures aren’t a surprise though after the initial pre-order stocks were sold out. Apple CEO Steve Jobs said: “This is the most successful product launch in Apple’s history. Even so, we apologise to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply.”

These record figures are in spite of reports of issues with reception dependant on how you handle the device. Shortly after it’s release, we gathered some feedback from excited new owners, and you can expect a full review soon.
