A few days prior the this years biggest gaming Expo, we divulged the games that make us jump up and down with excitement like a little girl. Then the wave of content washed over gamers worldwide, drowning them in an abundance of information on known titles, announcements of what were previously unannounced games, new hardware and more screenshots and trailers than suitable healthy. Now, we now sift through the remaining carnage to determine, which games are MediaKick’s Most Wanted.

Killzone 3
No one at MediaKick was more psyched for Killzone 3 than yours truly. The information that was announced, the trailer, the screenshots, it got me very excited indeed. So it is with great disappointment that all Sony’s press conference managed to do was anger me. Why? As I have to wait until February to get my hands on it! Showing off some simply stunning gameplay during the conference, before more footage on the Jimmy Fallon show, there is more tasty goodness than a belly-buster sundae. With mind-blowing pre-alpha graphics and advanced gameplay, Killzone 3 is already lining itself up to be one of the best shooters next year.

Portal 2
The original was a masterpiece. It took the shooter genre, typically filled with burly men, bullets and blood and turned everything upside down – literally. Portal 2 looks set to do the same, bringing new gameplay mechanics whilst retaining the humour that ensured Portal was such a gem. An astounding interruption to proceedings means that everyone will now be able to play Valve’s modern-day classic and makes the upcoming first-person puzzle game one of our Most Wanted.

LittleBigPlanet 2
We’re falling in love with Sackboy all over again. The levels demoed during E3 really exposed just how extensive the creation in the next sackventure will be. Showing off racing games, a version of space invaders, a sumo ring, a side-scrolling shooter, an accuracy and speed based, rock band-equse button pressing game and much more makes our creative juices bubble with anticipation.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
While there wasn’t a huge amount of footage to come out of E3, the stuff that did was brilliant. Some beautiful gameplay footage and a spine-tingling cinematic have us weak at the knees for Starkillers second outing. The fluidity of his movement and the apparent fixing of a camera that had a mind of its own, combined with some electrifying screens, has The Force Unleashed II shaping up to be a one of the greatest Star Wars games to date.

Sorcery
The first new IP to really convince us of Moves potential, and show that it could be used to make more than just a party game. Aside from wishing it was a true Harry Potter game, Sorcerys style and exquisite use of the Move controller made it a real stand-out during Sony E3 press conference. The use of the Move controller to cast spells and the complexity of combining spells made us stand up and take note. The age-range for such a title is incredible and we just can’t wait to don the sorting hat and get to work on earning points for Gryffindor.

Brink
We didn’t see that much Brink love from the expo, but some really tasty screenshots has convinced Kev that he wasn’t insane to consider it one of the best looking games he’s seen this generation. With the disappointing news of a delayed release, pushing the game into Spring 2011, we’re just going to have to wait to get our hands on this exciting prospect.

Notable mentions
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood – As a huge fan of the first two, finally seeing the trailer and footage of Ezio and his brothers was a highlight of E3 for me personally.
InFamous 2 – Announced just before E3, little was known of this revamped new Cole and the adventures he would partake. Now though, we know much more and having been a massive fan of the original, I can’t wait to do more than just shock.
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit – Criterions new Need For Speed racer was announced during the EA press conference along with a gripping trailer. Any racer that uses a Bugatti Veyron for a cop car, is my kind of racer.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution – What more can I say? Never before has a trailer struck so resonantly than that of Human Revolution, and despite having yet to see any concrete gameplay, the anticipation for another helping of Deus Ex is hitting the roof.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West – We were excited before E3 and nothing has changed. After the E3 screenshots that came out for Enslaved, we were astounded by how great it looked. The more we see of this game, the more we want it.

Completely agree. Brink is my most anticipated though apart from TFU2 because I am a huge Star Wars fan. Saw some demo footage of it on Gamespot. Looking really, really good.
