Heavy Rains Creator, David Cage, has revealed that the PlayStation 3 exclusive has hit 1.5 million sales worldwide.

Cage also predicts that the title will hit 2 million sales before the end of the year, before going on to add that the average review score for Heavy Rain – based on almost 500 reviews – is at over 90. The game has smashed Sony’s sales expectations, and doing so whilst holding it’s RRP since launch; meaning it has yet to hit the bargain bin, or drop in price at all.

Heavy Rain is one of our stand-out titles of the year so far and with the upcoming ability to use PlayStation Move, we’ll certainly see another spike in sales.
