UK Charts ending 21 August 2010
Despite some rather mixed reviews, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is top dog this week. The psychopathic IO Interactive third person shooter knocked Toy Story 3 off it’s perch, as the movie tie-in drops down to second. Red Dead Redemption sticks around in the top three for yet another week. Mass Effect 2 and Need for Speed: SHIFT make re-entries into the charts, which also sees Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands rises to eighth.
After it’s recent chart surge, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 drops down to eighteenth, however, it has now been confirmed that it is now the biggest selling game in the UK of all time. The Infinity Ward shooter managed to achieve the feat in just 41 weeks, which knocked Dr Kawashima on DS (which took 36 months) from the top.
