During a Japanese showcase today, Nintendo has confirmed that the 3DS will launch on February 26th in Japan.
The device will also go on sale in the US and Europe sometime in March next year, although an exact date and price will be confirmed by Nintendo Europe. To go on sale for ¥25,000 – around £190 – the 3DS will launch in “Aqua Blue” and “Cosmos Black”. A 2Gb SD card will be bundled will the system and Company president Satoru Iwata confirmed that a Virtual Console will be included.
With a line-up of glasses-free 3D games including Paper Mario, Ridge Racer, Professor Layton, The Legend of Zelda, Metal Gear Solid, Resident and many more, it’s a hard-push to see anything but an incredible launch for 3DS.
