Each and every year, hundreds upon hundreds of games are released. There are those that surprise, disappoint, anger, satisfy, perhaps even sadden, and those provide hours upon hours of entertainment. However, there are also those that shine. Those that rise up above the rest. That will remain in our memories for decades to come, that will be talked about as the games of their era, the cream of the crop. Those are the games we want to determine. It is time for the 2010 MediaKick Game of the Year Nominations.
Come the middle of December, we will announce our very own Game of the Year (well a top three actually), but we also want to know what your best games of the year are. So, with your help, we intend to crown a king (or queen) of 2010; throw in a selection of sub-categories, the chance to win any stand-alone game of your choice and some fun and frolics, and we’ve got one hell of a ride in store.

With the nominations shown in each category below, just vote for your favourite games by complete the survey (including name and email if you want to be in with a chance to win) by the 23:59 (GMT) on Friday 17th December. The results will be announced the following week along with the winner, who will be contacted via the email address provided.

This competition is open worldwide, titles will be region appropriate for the winner. Price limit for a title is at £40/$60/€50 and must be a standalone title. PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable and PC games only. The game must be released in the winners region prior to the expiration of the contest. MediaKick are entitled to refuse any choice made by the winner without reason. One entry per user, any others will be discarded. Entrants must be over the age of 16 or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian, however if the prize is subject to an age rating you submit that you are above that age rating. There are no cash alternatives. This is your responsibility and yours alone, MediaKick accepts no responsibility for any prize items delivered to anyone who has not been honest about their age. If the email provided does not heed a response within seven days of being contacted, then that user forfeits their prize and a new winner will be selected.
