Announced at the Video Game Awards, Bethesda Softworks’, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will sport a nice new engine.
Bethesda Softworks community manager, Nick Breckon has confirmed that the engine for the highly anticipated sequel is brand spanking new:
“We can now confirm that the TES V: Skyrim engine is all-new. And it looks fantastic.”
“It’s exciting finally to announce the game,” said Todd Howard, Game Director on Skyrim. “We’ve been working for many years on Skyrim and the technology behind it. A new Elder Scrolls game has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to show it off.”
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is set for release on November 11th, 2011 worldwide on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
