Matt Southern, Games Director at Evolution Studios, has today announced that the confirmed European launch for Motorstorm Apocalypse is March 16, 2011.

Whilst this probably means March 18 for the UK, it cements a solid opening three months by Sony with LittleBigPlanet in a weeks time, Killzone 3 in February and now Motorstorm in March. He also revealed the games cover art which looks stunning.

“Our priority here is to show what is new in the game, and it slightly harks back to the box for MotorStorm 1,” said Southern. ”It is quite unusual for a racing game and we spent a long time working out what we thought would be right”
