Warner Bros. has announced that Mortal Kombat will be getting a ‘Season Pass’. The pass will be used like the Rockstar Pass for L.A. Noire and, once the Season Pass has been purchased, you can download the first new fighter, Skarlet, free of charge.

The other three fighters, Kenshi, Rain and an unannounced combatant, will be released at later dates but once they become available, Pass holders can download them free of charge.

Warner has only announced the pass for Xbox 360 so far and it will cost 1200 Microsoft Points and each fighter will cost 400 Microsoft points if a pass isn’t bought. The Season Pass and Skarlet will be released June 21.

Warner Bros. also released a compatibility patch which ensures all games can play together online and also comes with two free costumes for Cyrax and Sektor.
