Full PSN Service To Return To Japan July 6

The PlayStation Network will be fully operational in Japan on July 6. Sony announced that Japanese customers will be able to access the PlayStation Store in a few days after the PSN and Store was taken offline due to hacking attacks.

Japanese PSN users will also be able to access in-game purchase items, redeem product codes and PSN cards, video functionality through Qriocity and Media Go.

Once full service has been resumed in Japan, all territories will have been restored. Sony didn’t explain the lengthy delay for the Japanese network but it is believed Sony had to meet high security demands from both the Japanese government and credit card companies.
