Capcom has announced that Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will release March 20, 2012 in North America.

The release of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version will hit set date, although the PC version is still without a firm release date. Additionally, there are a selection of pre-order incentives available, with additional costumes and characters at select retailers, although there will also be a Special Edition which will contain:

• Steelbook with exclusive art
• Stylized foil sleeve
• Umbrella Security Service embroidered patch
• Spec Ops Field Unit embroidered patch
• All eight bonus weapons (eight could be a typo seeing as Capcom only announced six so far)

No European release date was given, but it would be safe to assume, for now at least, of a March 23, 2012 release.
