Nintendo 3DS Demos Kick Off With Mutants And Chefs

In a move that quite a few people would be pleased about, Nintendo have announced that demos of upcoming retail games will be made available on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, starting from tomorrow with both Resident Evil: Revelations and Cooking Mama 4.

With a little under a couple of weeks until launch, the demo of Resident Evil: Revelations should allow users to decide if the game is worth purchasing. No news as to whether the demo would be compatible with the upcoming Circle Pad Pro attachment, but the full game certainly will be, giving a greater freedom of movement and camera control. The game will launch on 27 January on 3DS, but the demo will be made available from tomorrow.

If fighting the hordes of the undead is a bit much for you, Cooking Mama 4 might be more to your taste. We have to admit we don’t know much about this particular title, but being able to play the cooking mini-games in 3D, whilst utilising some of the 3DS’ other features certainly sounds more interesting than any previous Cooking Mama game. Cooking Mama 4 is out 19 January in Europe.

Nintendo also revealed some upcoming demos that will be made available on the 3DS in the near future, made up of some rather mainstream titles such as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure. Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is certainly looking like a game to watch on the handheld and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure is just too interesting a title to not be curious about it. At least now we have demos to enable us to make choices as to whether the games are worth investing in. Welcome to the 21st Century Nintendo.
