The Less Said The Better #2

After last weeks inauguration, we’re back for week two of “The Less Said The Better”. Firstly, a quick recap of the premise. Consider this an offering of some quick, bite-size and hopefully witty reading for your weekend, to summarise our gaming weeks. Last week saw contributor Liam take the first crown of the words with his eloquent poem about Uncharted 3. How would this week fair for the team though?

Let’s kick things off with Dave’s entry for the week, “I hide on the tallest building, stalking mia preda (my prey). When he is isolated with nowhere to run, I try to strike. But mia preda is no ordinary man. He is il diavolo (the devil). The battle ensues for several moments, when out of sheer desperation he makes a careless move. Mine isn’t so careless. As he succumbs to death, I only have three words to impart with him. Requiescat in Pace.”

Quite wordy, but incredibly cryptic. I’ll let you make up your own mind as to what he’s alluring to.

Harry’s entry was very specific and has me intrigued about a certain title, “Pocket League Story has served as quite the procrastination tool: coupled with a new career managing the mighty Crewe Alexandra on FIFA 12, virtual football has dominated my week.”

Now whilst I skip past my jealously to playing FIFA 12′s Manager Mode due to my PlayStation 3 being with the doctor, the idea of a yet another procrastination tool is of great interest. However, after the hours I spent on Game Dev Story, I’m not sure how well my body will agree with my brain.

Igor was missing in action from the features debut, but the reasons are explained this week, “Being bed-ridden is the perfect opportunity for gaming so I opted for another run through the Aperture Science Lab. It once again reminded me the absolute importance of dialogue and narrative — God bless the voice cast of Portal 2. It should have been Game of The Year for 2011…”

Now on the mend, poor Igor managed to get through his illness thanks to GLaDOS and her trinkets – is there a better way to spend a week? I think not.

Those are the only three entries this week as gaming time was a little light on the ground for the team, however, this week’s winner is certainly Dave with the beautifully scripted words. It’s like he wrote them straight from the soul… So congratulations Dave, this win puts you joint top with Liam on… one.

Until next week, I leave you with my entry:

“I’ve been sucked into the realms of 8, whilst never being actually dead in NeverDead – but more on that next week. For now, I pray for the good fortune of my beautiful black box. Stay safe my PS3.”
