A PlayStation CEO has seemingly confirmed that Monster Hunter will be coming to PlayStation Vita in the next few months.
Speaking in an interview with Le Point, PlayStation France CEO, Philippe Cardon, played down the poor Japanese Vita sales stating that the country’s most popular title was missing from the line-up.
“The games available at launch in Japan do not correspond to the typology of the Japanese public. It lacks a particular game, Monster Hunter, scheduled for the coming months,” he said.
“Had it been there from the start in Japan, the story would have been different. We must put things into perspective and stay calm.”
Monster Hunter 3G helped Nintendo’s 3DS achieve its best selling week in December beating its launch figures which goes to show much pull the franchise has in Japan. If Sony can bring the series to the Vita in a few months time, we expect them to sell like hotcakes.
