Were you as addicted to Trials HD as a vast quantity of Xbox 360 users were? If you were, then the promise of more madness in the form of a full blown sequel on Xbox Live Arcade this year must have you as excited as a pooch that just heard the word “walkies”.
Help is at hand, as a new trailer showing some of the insane gameplay has been let loose. Here some of the new modes have been given a little bit of detail, such as the survival mode, multiplayer madness both locally and on Xbox Live, and including the impressive in-game editor that allows you to create what you want. It looks like an answer to LittleBigPlanet 2′s heavily customisable gameplay. The best thing is you can show off your work to players throughout the world, while downloading some of the best other players have to offer. You can also create pinball machines, helicopter simulations, a variant on Micro Machines (?!), Foosball, 3D stunt driving and even a first person shooter, of sorts.
Managing Director of RedLynx, Tero Virtala, hopes ”this trailer really gets across everything we are bringing to Trials Evolution that makes this game more than a sequel, but a real evolution of Trials”, while Creative Director and Lead Designer, Antti Ilvessuo says his team are “especially excited by the power of the in-game editor”, before saying that “When people talk about games that feature amazing user-generated content and free sharing with other players, Trials Evolution is going to enter that conversation in a big way.”
Ilvessuo has also said that lots of people have asked for a release date for probably the most anticipated Xbox Live Arcade game of 2012. “They have been poking me on Twitter, calling my cell phone, even following me on the metro! Now I can finally tell them when – it’s spring! Spring is almost here, and so is Trials Evolution!”
A more specific release date is inbound when the allocated Spring 2012 window comes, but it isn’t long to wait now. Seems like the recent acquisition of RedLynx by Ubisoft was a fantastic idea. Trials Evolution will be made exclusively for Xbox 360 via Xbox Live Arcade.

Really looking forward to this! Trials HD is one of my favourite games ever, housing some serious challenge and perhaps the hardest Achievement anyone can unlock…..oh – and I unlocked it
Anything like the first then addiction, competition and hardcore amazingness will be the base for gaming greatness with real-time multiplayer too (the last was time trial and scores only).
