3DS Ambassador Version Of Super Mario Bros Get Suspendable Update

Last August saw Nintendo give back to early adopters of the Nintendo 3DS by giving them twenty free games for them to download from the e-Shop. These included ten classic to mediocre Nintendo Entertainment System games and ten awesome games for the Gameboy Advance. None of these games had features that were commonly found with other Virtual Console games, such as being able to save states for extended play.

Today sees the NES library updated with save state features to make it so you can play later. There’s just one catch: It is only Super Mario Bros that seems to actually work properly at this time. Not only have the save states been activated, but has the game icon changed to resemble a NES console and TV with a classic NES sound.

The updates aren’t currently shown in the “Title Updates” option on your account, but they are available on the “Titles You Have Downloaded” option. For more information on how to download these updates, alongside the process for downloading the Gameboy Advance games, be sure to watch our video guide. We’ll have to wait for the rest, but the first wave/leak has certainly happened already in the UK.
