Having had to push up the release of the trailer for Far Cry 3 by a day, Ubisoft has released a selection of glorious looking screenshots to accompany the trailer.

Yesterday’s three-minute video saw three friends on holiday on an uncharted island before the game’s protagonist, Jason Brody, and his friends, one of whom is his girlfriend, were captured by Vaas.

Whilst yesterday’s trailer was entirely CG, the screens we have at hand today are entirely in-game. I’m sure you’ll agree that they are quite stunning and will certainly entice a lot of shooter fans if this is anything to go by.

Far Cry 3 is set for release September 7 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
