Acitivision has released a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man showcasing the web-slinging nature that you will swing through New York with.

With the film set to release this summer, the series reboot will take Peter Parker back to his teenage years where he becomes obsessed with solving the mysteries of his past and in doing so comes face to face with a new enemy.

The game then proceeds to pick up where the film ends, throwing Parker into a new exciting storyline against a variety of baddies – ranging from criminals on the street to interpretations of the fans all time favourite villains to try to save New York from devastation.

Fans can expect all new web slinging skills to allow Spider-Man to effortlessly move from building to building across the New York landscape. It certainly looks impressive and, given the hit and miss nature of Spider-Man games over the past decade, we hope this is a true return to form for the franchise.

The game is set to release this summer, on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS.
