New Gears Of War 3 DLC Launches March 27

Epic has announced the final piece of downloadable content for Gears of War 3.

The Forces of Nature Map Pack will contain five multiplayer maps – three original maps and two classic maps – and four new multiplayer skins. New maps Artillery, Aftermath and Cove will be joined by Gears 1’s Raven Down and Gears 2’s Jacinto. The previously mentioned skins are Commando Dom, Mechanic Baird, Savage Grenadier Elite and Savage Hunter.

Gears of War 2’s Guardian Mode also makes a return as part of the DLC along with seven new weapon skins and an extra ten achievements, boosting the game’s total Gamerscore another 250 points.

Forces of Nature may be the last piece of DLC included in the shooter’s Season Pass but Epic director Rod Fergusson hasn’t ruled out any more future content.

“It’s kind of a ‘never say never’ perspective,” he told Digital Spy.

“We’ve completed the obligation for those with the season pass, so it’s really now all about community demand and those sorts of things and what people want. But I mean, it takes a lot of effort to create DLC, and in terms of internal resources and what we’re focused on, that kind of stuff.

“It’s really driven by player demand. If players are dying for it and they want it, then it’s something that we can definitely look at.”

The Forces of Nature Map Pack launches on March 27 for 800 Microsoft Points.
