Starbreeze Studios has announced cuts in staff numbers.
The studio behind EA’s reboot of classic RTS Syndicate has revealed that 25 jobs have been cut and board member Peter Tornquist will resign from his position. The developer has no plans to replace him.
“It is sad that we are forced to make staff cutbacks affecting employees,” said Starbreeze CEO Mikael Nermark, “but we have to reduce staff after the final delivery of the Syndicate.”
The Swedish developer’s shooter launches February 24 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Always sad to hear. This global recession is kicking everyone’s arses. We keep teetering on the edge of coming out of it (or slipping back in) which is useless for morale.
