Review Policy

At MediaKick, we release reviews as soon as we can once they are up to the standards we set. We do not however use the traditional and widely used 1-10 scale. Instead we opt for a graded scale to attempt to avoid the overuse of the top end of the scale. By stating a ‘C’ rated game as average, it is in keeping with the same standards that everyone follows whilst in education. It therefore also means that the top mark of ‘A+’ is not equal to a ‘perfect’ game – just one that came very close.

The platform that the game is reviewed on is always stated, as on occasions multi-platform titles will perform better on one than the other.

Each score is equatable to a pre-defined meaning, which the list below will indicate:

  • A+ = Unmissable
  • A = Exceptional
  • A- = Excellent
  • B+ = Very Good
  • B = Good
  • B- = Quite Good
  • C+ = Just above average
  • C = Average
  • C- = Just below average
  • D+ = Poor
  • D = Bad
  • D- = Very Bad
  • E = Abysmal
  • F = Unplayable
